Record your TV model, approximate model year and software version from its product information or manual. Samsung and LG televisions do not all offer the same apps. Check the store on your actual TV before purchasing an app or subscription.
Keep the app and subscription separate
An IPTV player provides the viewing interface. IPTV Vera provides trial or subscription access separately. A player may charge its own licence fee, and installing it does not activate an IPTV Vera plan. Ask support about a suitable option for your exact model first.
Samsung TVs sold in Canada
Samsung’s Canadian guidance says a Samsung account is required for Smart Hub access. Connect the TV to the internet and complete the account setup on the TV. Menu names can vary by model and software version.
- On the documented interface, start at Home and press Left to expand the menu.
- Choose Search, enter the player’s name and select the matching result.
- Check the listing and choose Install, then Open. Add to Home can make it easier to find.
If an app is absent, Samsung notes that model compatibility may be the reason, especially on older hardware. Ask about a supported option rather than assuming another TV’s instructions will work.
LG TVs: check the webOS generation
LG documents different routes by software generation. Its support article illustrates webOS versions through 25; for a later version, consult the help for your model.
- webOS 24/25: press Home, open APPS and use the search icon to find the player.
- webOS 5.0-era and newer interfaces covered by the article: search from Home and follow the app’s installation prompt.
- webOS 4.5 and earlier: use LG Content Store from Home, search and select Install where offered.
LG notes that installation can be limited on pre-2015 models. If an app is missing or installation fails, check the connection, available storage, app requirements and the TV’s correct LG Services Country setting. The linked LG article is regional guidance; Canadian availability must be checked on your own TV. Do not change countries to bypass availability restrictions.
Before choosing a paid plan
Have these details ready for support
- Your TV brand and exact model number.
- The software or webOS version shown by your TV, if available.
- Your country and the app name shown in the TV’s own store.
- Whether you have installed the player, and the exact error if setup stops.
Share the model and software details rather than account passwords. If you send a screenshot, hide credentials and other personal information.
Send your model and the exact player name to support. Use the trial to check remote controls, sound, your preferred content and playback on your home connection. If no suitable app is available, discuss a compatible external streaming device before buying hardware.
See IPTV Vera’s devices and apps for the supported categories. Once your own setup has passed the trial, compare device plans and CAD term totals. If video starts but stalls, use the buffering checklist first.
